To give you some background information, AOD released their first album ‘Science of the Mind’ via a small independent label; Tomcat Records in 2004. Now, we have a new set, new material and a new EP released April 22nd 2006. The band are receiving an immense amount of interest from within the industry and from a large number of labels and promoters etc. That's before you even take a look at AOD's awesome stage show.
'Through my Eyes' also features Emilie Autumn who has played with Billy Corgan and Courtney Love, Emilie is also causing quite a stir in the USA with her own solo work.
We hope to tour again later in 2006 along with some possible German dates and we are also in discussion re: a tour of Portugal, Spain and other European territories. Emilie Autumn, has also invited us to tour in the USA with her. We are also as we speak putting together a USA tour scheduled for August/September.
Our Myspace account has really taken off with 1400 friends in February, but has now grown to 11500 at the beginning of April and 300 or more new friends finding us everyday.
'Burn' in its demo form received over 1000 plays in 1 week alone, 'Jesus Wept' again in demo form getting over 1400 downloads from download.com. With each track from the new EP exceeding 4000 downloads each in their first 4 weeks of being up on the net.
Avoidance of Doubt have been compared to Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, NiN, Rob Zombie, Static X and Korn. Often labeled as Gothic Metal, Industrial Cyber, Dance Metal or Disco Metal.
However AOD are all and none of these things, whilst they are alternative, they are a theatrical experience drawing not just from the aforementioned bands but also from Pink Floyd, David Bowie and from the more visual aspects of music and performance.
Mixing it all up with an exceptionally tight stage show and a vibrant passion fueled visual performance.
We are also looking for equipment endorsements and make up and hairspray sponsorship.
Producer Steve Lyon has said we are the most original band he has ever heard and worked with, we look forward to recording our second album with him.

"London’s finest Industrial/techno band, Avoidance of Doubt strolled on stage at Northampton’s Roadmender to amazing applause from the 600 strong young audience. From the first throbbing keyboard chords the audience was in for an amazing treat.
