Hear live performances of songs of work and resistance, organized to offer a people's history of industrial capitalism in the United States, from 1790 to the present. The lineup includes extraordinary contemporary musicians working in, and extending, the traditions of such great protest artists as Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie. Performers will include Ross Altman, Jerry O'Sullivan, Squeakin' Wheels, Holy Situation, and Ellen Harper. Ellen Harper is director of the Folk Music Center, and Ben's mom.
