  I had the chance to see his group perform in the 80's @ Mills College in Oakland, California. It was a great evening in a small setting with a dance troupe interpreting his great music.

  I agree with you Sama'an! Dave rocks just as hard in his 80's, as the Red Hot Chili Peppers did back in the 80's. Cause I saw them both a few years ago, and Dave Brubeck rocked out waaaaaay harder in my opinion. Plus he's got a great sense of humour. One of the greatest musicians of our century, hands down. I love him.

  gosh, i saw him play in Houston earlier this year, maybe it was early 2006 i can't remember. i just can't believe this man is still rockin at his age, he's like the rolling stones or the beastie boys; i'm sure all 3 artists will be playing until they literally die on stage. this man is in my top 25 artists of all time, and i'd put him up there as the greatest jazz musician, the greatest jazz singer is gonna be a three way tie between sinatra, nat king cole, and billie holiday

  Joe Morello is one of the greatest drummers i have ever heard. In ANY genre. the whole bands so perfect i have a hard time believing its really humans on the stage. and then they start improvising proving that they got soul, more soul then a sock with a hole.
