Temple Scene's atmospheric pop deftly mixes infectious melodies with swirling layers of electronica and guitars. Philippe Rose and Ric Levy have been lucky enough to learn from some of the greatest musicians of our time. When their friends were out getting respectable jobs, they were making tea and carrying equipment in some of the world's most prestigious recording studios, desperate to watch their idols at work and understand what makes their music so special. As the duo gained experience, they each worked their way up to record for the likes of Korn, Eric Clapton and Dave Matthews Band. But they've never lost the original passion for writing and performing their own songs and now, after eight years of recording other people, they've got things of their own they want to say. 2008 saw Temple Scene’s first ever releases, in a year of musical discovery for the duo. Each new song was a waypoint on their journey as they developed their musical personality, from the irresistible pop of their first E.P., Another Town, to the dark, magnetic electronica that dominates Sektor. They are currently nearing completion of a brand new full-length album, due out in the first half of 2009.
