  Ahhhh... the soothing sounds of McGuinn's 12 string is enough to make me love em', but they write great songs too!

  I'm not a great big fan of some 60's music, but the song Turn, Turn, Turn (There is a Season) is easily one of my favorite songs ever. I'm way too young to remember this era (Hell I'm only 32!), but this is a song of hope for us, liberals, conservatives..old young..Love the vibe!

  The Byrds are about 600,000 times better than the Doors. I usually don't take points off for bad lyrics, but when they're as adolescent and self-serious as Morrison's, and you combine that with their highly "original," Tom Jones-on-acid sound... I don't know where I'm going, but the Byrds are awesome.

  Richard Smith??? The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Dylan??? The Byrds might be on the top 5 but I don't know how easily.

  The Byrds were easily the best American band in the 60's...no one else could touch 'em! they looked cool, sounded original and sang about protest, love and drugs, using a 12 string Rickenbacker:what else do you need?
