The Motion Sick is a socially aware, DIY indie rock band with a focus on dynamic, diverse music, energetic live shows, and insightful lyrics. Despite just breaking into the scene this year with the release of their debut album, Her Brilliant Fifteen, The Motion Sick has already garnered substantial national press highlighted by several mentions in SPIN magazine including the half-page honor of being selected as "band of the month" as a result of an initial "band of the day" feature on SPIN.com and a track in a "Spin Essential Mix - Music You Need to Download Now!" The album has received airplay and charting (including several CMJ Top 30 #1s) on dozens of college and commercial stations nationwide including several prominent Boston stations: WFNX, WBCN, WERS, WMFO, and WMBR. In addition to airplay, the band, critically cited for its energetic live performances, has recently completed its first tour and signed a publishing deal with Blue Scout Music.
